A native of Campbellford Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Helen McColeman Martin, she was an employee of Shoney's and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Dewy Lee Mullinax Sr. of the home; two daughters, Charlene M. Howard of Greer and Jeannine M. McNiven of Stephens City, Va.; two sons, Michael J. Woodacre of Taylors and John A. McNiven Jr. of Wellford; a brother, James Medhurst of Mississauga, Ontario Canada; one sister, Minnie E. Wynn of Campbellford Ontario Canada; and seven grandchildren.
