Cary M. Allen, Taylors
Cary Mullinax Allen, 87, formerly of Wood Road, died July 2, 2001, at National Health Care. She was married to the late William Fred Allen for 62 years.

A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late William James and Lula Poole Mullinax, a member of Southern Bleachery Baptist Church and a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing. She was an Avon Representative for many years.

Surviving are a son, James Allen, of Taylors; three daughters, Myrtice Haney and Linda Teems, both of Greer, and Cathy Roach of Taylors; one brother, Calvin Mullinax, of Travelers Rest; two sisters, Ethel Styles of Travelers Rest, and Frankie Stokes of Taylors; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Haskell Mullinax; and a sister, Rosezell Barbare.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Henry Farmer, the Rev. David Slatton, the Rev. Rodney Craggs and the Rev. Seth Hester. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of the son, James Allen, 103 Wood Road, Taylors.
