Joseph
L. Mullinax, III 52, of Meggett in Charleston County, SC, died Sunday,
Aug. 13, 2006 in Oakland, CA..Born in Takoma Park, MD on December 2, 1953, Mr. Mullinax was a Greenville resident until the mid-1980s when
he moved to the Charleston area. He was the son of Joseph L. Mullinax, Jr. of Greenville and Charleston and
Wilma Williams of Greenville.
He was a building contractor and owned and operated the Dawhoo Construction Company which was located on Edisto Beach.
Surviving are his wife, Christine Mullinax; a son, Joey and a daughter Rebecca; stepmother Robbie Jo Mullinax; four sisters,
Vickie M. Willard of Greenville, Margaret Mullinax of Charleston, Kathy and husband Stephen Hill of Nashville and Teresa and
husband Harry Lawrence of Fishkill, NY; stepsister, Maria Bolan and stepbrother, Ricky Hedden both of Simpsonville.
