| General information
The Pilates Method aims to re-align and re-balance the body's structure
through gentle but focused exercise. It improves posture and increases
flexibility and strength, without building bulk muscle. It is beneficial for
those with bad backs or general injuries and for rehabilitation after
surgery. It is an excellent form of exercise during and after pregnancy. The studio is fully equipped with all the Pilates apparatus. Clients work primarily on resistance equipment designed by Joe Pilates to strengthen, stretch and tone specific muscle groups. The equipment is versatile enough to benefit people requiring rehabilitation and equally those looking for a more challenging work-out. Emphasis is placed on correcting posture and alignment and breathing. Because emphasis is placed on tailoring the Pilates technique to suit the
individual needs of each client, sessions are limited to four ever being
booked into the studio at one time. Bookings are made on the half-hour and
sessions are approximately 75 minutes long. During this time, clients work
on their own individual program under close supervision of the teacher. Q. What should I wear? Q. How many sessions do I need? Q. What happens during the assessment? Q. What do I do now? |
